From Abandonment to Calling — Solomon’s Story of Faith
Solomon’s story is one of resilience, faith, and redemption.
Just a few months after he was born, his father left for Thailand and never returned—believed to have walked away because of his family’s Christian faith.
Solomon was raised by his mother and grandmother, who, despite deep poverty, remained unwavering in their love for God. For a time, they were under our care at Vineyard Home, while his mother worked tirelessly selling noodles on the street to provide for their family.
Through it all, Solomon grew up in the church—faithful, kind, and deeply rooted in his love for Jesus.
His mother and grandmother carried a dream: that he would one day attend Bible school and become a missionary pastor. Solomon shared that same calling, even praying that one day he could find his father and tell him about Jesus.
By God’s grace—and through the generosity of our partners—that dream became reality.
Solomon studied at Shan Missionary Theological College for four years and graduated this January. His mother sacrificed to help cover his fees, and Empower was honored to support the remaining cost.
Today, Solomon stands equipped and ready to share the Gospel.
This is the impact of partnership.
