Myanmar Earthquake Relief and Aid
On March 28, 2025, a devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck the Sagaing Region in Myanmar, causing extensive destruction in a country already facing severe oppression. Thousands of buildings, bridges, and essential infrastructure were left in ruins. More than 5,000 lives were lost. The true extent of this tragedy is hard to gauge due to the military regime's control of information, which omits the grim realities in the worst-hit areas suffering under People's Defense Force oppression. Within hours following the quake, Empower International teams mobilized quickly, gathering essential supplies to reach those affected. We have been relentless in our efforts, providing relief supplies--- food, water, medicine, temporary shelter, and financial aid to 578 families in the hardest-hit areas.
